The entrance ticket on offer is valid on the date you choose, and the audio guide is not included. A day trip from Geneva takes you there by coach and includes the entrance. One trip also stops at Chaplin's World in Vevey and the vineyards of Lavaux, where a glass of wine or juice is included. A first-class cruise on an old steamer is part of it only from June to September and only if you select that option. Lunch is extra.

The last admission is one hour before closing time. The castle is closed on 25 December and on 1 January. Some pages for group bookings give different starting times for the winter months, so for a single visit use the hours above and check the operator's page before you go.
Getting to Chillon
Bus, train, boat or on foot.
Bus 201 stops at the castle. If you come by train, take the S5 to Veytaux-Chillon, from where it is a six-minute walk. From Montreux a lakeside path leads to the castle, about 4 km and 45 minutes on foot according to the operator. Boats stop at a landing stage 100 m away, and our boat tours page explains the cruises that pass Chillon. A Riviera cruise sails past the castle, but the ticket to go inside is separate.
If you arrive by car, parking on the street near the castle is free for up to three hours with a parking disc. Space is limited, so allow time on busy days. Pushchairs are not possible on the tour. At the beach spot by the castle you swim at your own risk, and the operator warns of strong currents close to the monument.
